about Roger
Jackson
I am running for West Palm Beach City Commissioner, District 3.
Born at St. Mary’s Medical Center and raised in West Palm Beach, I have truly grown up alongside this city. From childhood memories at CityPlace to planning and organizing community events along the Flagler waterfront, West Palm Beach has always been home. I believe deeply in the Three S’s; building a city where people feel safe, seen, and supported.
Roger Jackson proudly enlisted in the United States Army, serving his country with dignity and pride. As both a paratrooper and lead litigation paralegal, he learned the importance of discipline, service, and accountability. Roger continues to carry the brotherhood and values of the 1st Special Forces Command into every decision he makes. As a proud veteran, he remains committed to ensuring veterans are represented, respected, and supported throughout District 3 and across West Palm Beach.
Roger graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion from The Art Institute and currently serves as the Grant Manager for the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. In this role, he manages critical community programs including Fair Housing, Elder Law, Landlord/Tenant, Heirs’ Property, Consumer, Bankruptcy, and Elder Exploitation projects. Public service fuels Roger’s work and motivates him to ensure that everyone, regardless of income or background, has access to justice and legal services.
Roger is also the President of Night Runners WPB, a local LGBTQ-led run club founded in 2016. In 2018, Roger and community members transformed the organization into a nonprofit. Since then, Night Runners WPB has hosted an annual Pride 5K in downtown West Palm Beach, with full support from the city and community, creating space for visibility, health, and connection within the vastly growing running community.
Roger brings lived experience, empathy, and accountability to public service. He is committed to advancing LGBTQIA+ visibility, protecting long-standing neighborhoods, supporting local businesses, and ensuring city decisions reflect the diversity of the people they serve. Roger works, lives, creates, runs, and organizes in West Palm Beach, and is the true embodiment of what District 3 and this community need right now.
